The Lighthouse by Tristan de Liège

Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, who is one of my favorite composers, once told me, “each of us is like a lighthouse” in that each of us is a source and well of inspiration. This beautiful thought inspires me very much and guides me often in how I think about making music, because I often to seek to collaborate with people where I can have their light and voice shining through alongside my work and creating something unique that I wouldn’t have made just on my own. This piece represents a celebration of finding those lighthouses and channeling their light.

Tristan de Liège began his exploration of music in high school, first playing in bands and eventually exploring electronic music. His sound is inspired by instrumental hiphop and downtempo artists and also his love of film soundtracks and orchestral arrangements.
