Welcome, friend!

When I taught preschool, rubbing my small friends’ backs and singing lullabies made naptime my favorite part of the day.

Since becoming a mama, bathtime and bedtime with baby son Sam were precious moments at nightfall. Regardless of what the day had held, we sweetly reminded each other that all was well.

our bodies may get bigger, but even grown-up girls need luscious little reminders that we’re magnificent and worthy of deep love.

We love in a culture where women are presented with all kinds of ridiculous images to live up to. how difficult it is on some days to accept-- much less celebrate-- our bodies, emotions, thoughts and spirits. radical elf-compassion means noticing our own lives with all their quirks, and welcoming who we are in this moment, and who we are becoming.

i live for my nightly bathtime and bedtime ritual. Few things delight me more than warm, sudsy water,a big cozy bed and music that beckons me to some serious pampering, music and joy. Toss all this together with a little bath oil and I offer you Splash!, a bathtime and bedtime experience in radical self-lovin.’

Yes, it’s playtime and yes, it’s deep soul time!
