Old English þing "meeting, assembly, council, discussion," later "entity, being, matter" (subject of deliberation in an assembly), also "act, deed, event, material object, body, being, creature," from Proto-Germanic *thingam "assembly".

Dreaming Aesop is a reworking of several animal fables collectively credited to Aesop, a slave and storyteller believed to have lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 564 BCE.
Each verse is a single short fable compressed into four lines.
