an unveiling of uneven cracks in form and texture. a fun and free jam with my partner. we're trying to focus more on generating clearer and more distinct moments within our jams, and I think we already have a nice foundation for moulding these musical structures in a live and organic way. it's been a lot of fun crafting and playing these jams with my partner. she's learned so much about sound design and performance. it's also been a nice challenge for me to make complex musical concepts not just understandable, but intuitable by non-musicians. my bass playing was okay. I need to stop being afraid of not being original. controlling everything with the Syntakt makes everything so much easier to recombine, and I just have a soft spot for hardware sequencing. we filled up all of the tracks on the Syntakt, so my partner was juggling twelve different parts (and I could barely handle just the bass!) the pad sounds are all soft synths, and the melodies are Syntakt synths with some processing in Ableton. the drums are, as usual, a mix of found sounds and the analog drum tracks on the Syntakt.
