Hi My name is Chris and I have a daughter called Oona and a son called Ivor. They are both lovely, bright and imaginative children. Oona’s entry into this world was very difficult, born with an unknown condition and unable to swallow, with joint, muscle, co-ordination and motor problems. But she also has great determination, and heaps of character, and at seven years old she wants to do everything on her own!
Oona is a wheelchair user (get yourself subscribed to @littleredwheelchair), but over the last two years specialist physiotherapy, strength training and custom orthotics have helped her take her first unaided steps. She’s also starting to swim like an otter and continually surprises us!
The intensive therapies and custom splints that help Oona so much are insanely expensive, and carers have limited time and means to generate much income. So a couple of years ago I was brainstorming some out-there fundraising ideas, sitting at my desk thinking, how do I make an electronic fundraising album like the kind Martin at Touched puts out?
I decided to message him. Within five minutes we were chatting on the phone. Within ten minutes he’d decided to put Project OO out himself on Touched!
So here we are with not one CD but with FIVE! What a motherlode of a record. Every track is an exclusive! 808 State, The Future Sound of London, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Scanner, and at least fifty others - some huge names in electronic music and sound design have created the gorgeous work that is Project OO.

We love you. Chris Dooks, Summer 2021
