"There is something classic about this record, Albini-esque, like if 'Dry' era PJ Harvey had Nirvana lose their shit for her. Full of nourishing riffs, epic grooves, giant crests, crushing softs and a vocal that can weave a soulful caterwaul with butterfly wings; heavy to heart filled in a flutter. Recorded at once in a brilliant sounding room, you have to admire the no-fucks-given-this-is-us-like-it-or-not-we're-having-a-blast vibe because it is a reminder of how joyous and cross your heart and hope to die a 'now' moment can be.
