In the process of making this album, I made 560ish electro beats, one of which I chose to be on this album. I made 600 Kanye imitation beats, and of those I chose 9. This album took about 6 months start to finish, and would not have been possible without the people who contributed.
None of this would have been possible without Lord Sko. Literally everyone that is on this album I either met through him, or would not have met without the open door of being Sko’s DJ. Nothing I could say could really repay him for this, but I will say this: give that man his flowers. He has been the architect of a scene.
I would also like to thank Moderate Rock, for laying down guitar and bass on 6 of the 11 tracks in the album. You formed my loops into more complete ideas, and allowed me to chop up what you did into song structure. Godbless all of you. This album would not be the same without your instrumentation.
I want to thank TNT TYB as well, for laying down some of the earlier verses on the album, and letting me keep working on the details. You also did some of the most genre-bendy stuff on the album, and this album would not have been possible without your vocals. Beautiful work.
I also want to thank Dustrial Dre, for laying down a series of Ferlenghetti verses on this album. Endlessly writerly, and very easy to work with. One of the most fun sessions we had was with you and Oscar Grubelic in the crib. Also, Devil In New York is one of my favorite tracks on the album.
I want to thank Meka Maraschino, for lending her voice and lyrics to You Don’t Realize. I’m very happy with all the work we’ve done, for your album and for mine, but You Don’t Realize is my favorite of our songs. Thank you for letting me have it for the album.
Also, godbless Justin Paulsen. That man has alarmingly fast hands, and helped me produce Lose My Breath.
Also, thank you Kenji and Roseblud. I would not have met Rose without Kenji, and none of FEEL GOOD would have been possible without you both. Thank you.
Finally, Arlo Walker. We had a number of late night sessions at your crib, making beats for different things, but I’m glad Adriana Lima ended up the way it did. Fantastic work on the chop, and thank you for telling me to change the snare. The snare needed to be changed.
Also: Hus Kingpin, Kaycyy, and Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire.
