Something a little different from Mr. Loeffler after all the eclectic roots music blending rock, country and folk, suddenly the "HYMNS" project reveals Tony in a rootsy crooner guise!

This is a worship album with a selection of classic hymns Loefflerised in gentle roots style! It's an historical and spiritual journey as you realize the life experiences that inspired ordinary men and women to pen amazing hymns that have stood the test of time.

Tony has done his research and, on this album, narrates and introduces each hymn revealing some of the amazing testimonies and stories of these great hymns.

These are all classics so songs like "Nothing But The Blood" rubs shoulders with "Jesus Love Me" and "There Is Power In The Blood. Backed by many of his regular cohorts, the Blue Angels, this is top quality musicianship with plenty of deft touches from the band topped by Tony's distinctive voice.

Plenty to enjoy here and my favorites are the sax filled groove of "My Jesus I Love Thee" and the country tinged boogie of "The Old Rugged Cross".
