Part A.
Analog

A small room with a lot of vintage equipment was illuminated by warm light. In the corner there was a lamp aimed at the orange-brown canvas. Silence. You can hear how the devices work. There is a magnetic tape noise in the headphones. Everything was set up a few days earlier. The guitar is lying on the floor, the electronic bow has been wound up for a long time and quietly chirps on the strings. I close my eyes. Forward. Turn the potentiometer and.. the sound is so beautiful that I want to make it louder. Part of it penetrates through you and is refracted, part is reflected bouncing off in new directions. Part of the colliding crumbles and disappears. This is not guitar playing. It's not really about music.

Get tangled in the wires. Click the toggle switches. Turn knobs, press buttons. I think it's always interesting. And even more so when at the exit you are waiting for something completely different from what the musical ear is used to. Barely contained chaos, tones and timbres on the verge of disintegration. Rough twilight murmur.
Listen and look for the "right" combination of crackling and noise. I am pursuing absurd goals to operate with completely different parameters. It becomes especially interesting to observe oneself in a state of searching for the "right moment". According to what principles is this moment and not a second earlier or later? Funny.. How does the brain structure something so abstract and make it accurate, verified and understandable? This is the art of other conventions. Musical principles built based on centuries-old traditions of sound harmonization do not work here. And how wonderful it is to get rid of classical concepts and immerse yourself in a meditative state..neo-Shamanism in all its glory.

The immersion was sometimes so colorful that it seemed I was in another space-time. I observe processes beyond fiction. The associative reaction practically did not work, I just "looked" into the sound.

It's all very strange. Obviously it's not really about music. Most likely, this is closer to liquid architecture.. This will not be clear to everyone, and there is no need.. These are all subjective reflections. It is rather a journey through the peaks of deviation from the norms. It's like falling in love with a bitter or understanding a tree, or maybe becoming one for a while.

Part B.
Digital

Everything is familiar in this place. More order. But for some reason, it feels like freedom is twisted into a torus here. And it's always been that way. So it is now.

But the technical side of the process is admired no less than working with analog equipment. In fact, you have all the same things in your little drawer. Isn't it fantastic? A whole room of equipment in the digital world. Did the musicians in the 70s think about such a thing? Everything and everything is emulated, it sounds almost indistinguishable, but still in a different way.

The first soft sounds and how sweet and fresh it becomes after synesthetic travel. The color is more familiar here, it's easier here. But in sharp contrast, there is a peculiar, sad sense of completeness. Resolution melancholy.. The excited imagination, which had nothing to cling to, yearns for a strange experience.
