In most museums, the exhibits on public display make up only a small part of the collection; much of the most interesting stuff is in storage. The music on 'Cürio' was written and recorded during the sessions that resulted in the soundtrack for the Quay Brothers' film 'Through the Weeping Glass: On the Consolations of Life Everlasting (Limbos & Afterbreezes in the Mütter Museum)'. While the official soundtrack for that film was available as an 'extra' on the original pressing of the DVD (now out of print), this additional, unused material is intended as a companion album.

UPDATE: As the original DVD of 'Weeping Glass' (which was previously the only place where the official soundtrack was available) is now out of print, the soundtrack is now available for download at https://timnelson.bandcamp.com/album/through-the-weeping-glass-ost .

The film itself (without the "extra" of the soundtrack) remains available on either of two newer BluRay collections of the Quay Brothers' films, from Zeitgeist in the US and from the BFI in the UK. Please check them out!
