Intrications Quantiques by Catherine Watine
At last…a new album from Catherine Watine! After releasing her previous album Géométries Sous-Cutanées in 2019, we are more than thrilled to be collaborating on this second album in the proposed trilogy from the wonderful French pianist/composer Catherine Watine, entitled, “Intrications Qantiques”.
In the words of French radio host Luc Marianni (Radio RGB Cergy Pontoise, France)
“ A wonderful and enchanted record! I enjoyed the sonic blend of piano resonances and subtle sounds throughout the album. There is an analogy with guitarists who use echo and pedal volume (like Fred Frith from Henry Cow for example, Steve Hackett from Genesis or David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) who "let the sound unfold". And the end piece (in the "style of Bolero by Ravel”) which concludes this impressionist work would have been appreciated by the group of 6, or the Arcueil School of Honneger, Milhaud or even Sauguet under the impulse of both the great Satie, and the most endearing musician, and the most 'surrealist' of his time, the solitary, minimalist dandy, the master of musical impressionism, Debussy himself.”
There are three distinct physical versions of this release available above!
The first is a Deluxe Limited Edition version that comes in an edition of just 75 over-the-top, handmade copies. There is also an imported standard vinyl version, as well as a very limited 6 panel CD digipak.
This release will ship the week of October 12th.
