tidewater studies is an invitation into observance of the tides and ecological time. The performance piece was built in relation to the rising and falling of the day’s tides as part of the Works on Water (https://www.worksonwater.org/) Triennial on July 31, 2021 at Governor's Island. This audio score invited audience members to experience high tide along the shoreline and engage in the act of witnessing water as it rises.

We encourage you to listen to this with headphones, in the proximity of water, ideally at high tide; but we hope you enjoy regardless of where or when you listen.

All proceeds will go toward Billion Oyster Project (https://www.billionoysterproject.org/), who are working toward a healthy, biodiverse New York Harbor and offer public school students, volunteers, and community scientists the opportunity to learn about New York City’s rich oyster history and lead the movement to restore it.
