‘Soundboy Demo’ is a collection of tracks produced by thruoutin in Mobile & New Orleans, USA from 2007 to 2008. The music stylistically fits into a loose theme of a raggacore influenced IDM and indie-electronic sound journeys laced with lyrics centered around the decay of fleeting relationships. The physical CD-R demos were initially made to be handed out on thruoutin’s first East Coast USA/Canada tour. Unfortunately, throughout the years the files were lost and scattered across various hard drives. In 2019, a single burned CD was found in thruoutin’s father’s office. As a slice of nostalgia, thruoutin decided to rip the files and re-burn the demo and package it as close as it could be to the original with the use of only office supplies. This 10 unit run of ‘Soundboy Demo’ is a time capsule containing a snippet of time in thruoutin’s Pre-China catalog.
