U-BAHN by This Eternal Decay

This Eternal Decay announce the release of their new single “U-BAHN”, out on December 12th, 2025 via Swiss Dark Nights.
The track is the second installment of the band’s new album project, which will unfold through a series of singles released every 2–3 months, leading up to the full album expected in January 2027. This approach allows listeners more time to absorb, understand, and ultimately fall in love with, the band’s evolving sonic identity.
“U-BAHN” tells the story of a love falling apart beneath Berlin’s grey, rainy skies. He no longer recognizes her love and feels lost, adrift in a city that mirrors their emotional distance. The sound and imagery of the song evoke a cinematic 1980s Berlin, still divided by the Wall, steeped in melancholy, introspection, and urban solitude.
Musically, the single embraces a strong singer-songwriter identity, leaving behind the colder tones often associated with This Eternal Decay to explore a more melodic vocal approach and a refined, carefully crafted sound.
“U-BAHN” marks a new step in the band’s artistic evolution, offering a glimpse into the many nuances of the project that will gradually take shape, single after single, until the release of their next album.
