Totentanz - A German medieval cultural apparition related to the plague of the "Black Death" in the 14th century. Death, not as the grim reaper with a scythe, but a decayed corpse that takes people to their final dance.

This release meshes up typical sound and instrumentation of classic horror movies, bells, wind, thunderstorms, and of cause lots of drones.

2 Mixes, one focusing more on the soundscapish and ambient aspects while the other one focuses more on the drone elements.

THIDF was originally founded back in 1999 and focused on Noise and Drone live sets. After dramatic changes in my life, the project rested, til 2014. I decided to revive it, as my love and designation to experimental music, especially Cold Drone, Dark Drone, Dark Ambient and the lack of immanence in this genre urges me to do something. The new wave of analog synth-tech enabled me to do so.
