Durante la pandemia, THE YELLOW MELODIES publicaron 3 CD-EPs de edición limitada en su sello Discos Imprescindibles. Cada EP incluía cuatro canciones propias y una versión de un grupo o artista que admiraban. Ahora por fin llega Sunshine Pop, el álbum, que recopila las canciones propias de esos EPs.

En ‘Sunshine Pop’, THE YELLOW MELODIES presentan una más que notable colección de canciones vitalistas, unas en español y otras en inglés, que destacan por la nitidez de sus arreglos (cuerdas, metales, sintes, órganos, carillón...) y por unas armonías de amplitud celestial que rozan la perfección. Melodías brillantes, actitud hedonista y sobre todo, mucho pop.

THE YELLOW MELODIES son Rafa Skam a la voz y guitarra, Antonio Clares al bajo y coros, Carlos Abrisqueta a los teclados y guitarras, y José Ángel Hernández a la batería. Las canciones están grabadas en Estudio PM con Pepe Moreno, y en él han contado con la gran colaboración de Norma Hamilton, que ha añadido preciosas armonías vocales a unas bellas composiciones plagadas de luz, amor y juventud que te cargan de energía positiva.

During the pandemic, THE YELLOW MELODIES released three CD-EP's through Discos Imprescindibles. Each EP includes four original songs and a cover of an artist or band they admire. Finally, ’Sunshine Pop’, the album that compiles the original songs from those EPs, is now available.

‘Sunshine Pop’ is a remarkable collection of vital songs, some in Spanish and others in English, which stand out for their bright arrangements (strings, brass, synths, organs, glockenspiels...) and for their harmonies of heavenly amplitude very close to perfection. Brilliant melodies, a hedonistic attitude and above all, a lot of pop, charmingly sophisticated pop.

THE YELLOW MELODIES are Rafa Skam on vocals and guitar, Antonio Clares on bass and backing vocals, Carlos Abrisqueta on keyboards and guitars and José Ángel Hernández on drums. The songs have been recorded at Pepe Moreno’s PM Studio. Norma Hamilton has added powerful backing vocals in these shiny songs full of sunlight, love and youth that will recharge you with positive energies.
