Building on from the release of Pastures New, The Weatheroak's second EP features additional classic folk tunes as well as an original composition: the improvisation, 'Lament', recorded after a lengthy studio session.

An updated, 'heavier' rendition of the famous tune, 'Greensleeves', highlights the band's variations on a classic theme as the opening track. Think Tudor times in a close city-centre bar, with extensive views across the greenery of the surrounding trees!

The foot tapping combination of Jacks Maggot and the Merry Blacksmith provides another view into the past - with a strong beat.

Sleepy Maggie is played at a slower speed than might be considered 'normal' and features various seascapes recorded on the Devon coast during the summer of 2024. 'A hypnotic tune but with no bass!' laments James who missed the studio slot.

The final track harks back to the days of Folk Rock band Ragged Heroes from Louth in Lincolnshire - pre-internet!
