Founded in New York City in 1999 by singer/songwriter
Brian Wurschum.

Wurschum's longtime singing partner, Laurel Hoffman, left the band in 2003, but the group's involvement with Jack Johnson created an ongoing interest in their music, so Wurschum remained musically active.

Solo indie artist Jude Kastle joined in 2006. Their music has featured in movies, tv shows, and commercials.
