This is where we end it all and pack our bags with folderol from yesterday
This is where we shake our heads in disbelief of all that’s said, then run away
This is the part where you should start running too, but I don’t see you
This is not the start of something smart, of that I guarantee you

This is where the ocean pulls its potion from the waves and waves goodbye
This is where we drink it up from some polluted plastic cup which lied beside
This is the predicament that’s cooling off the filament inside my thoughts
This is some insatiable resistance, never changeable, decreasing watts
This is the part your beating heart may fail to endure
This is the reason they’ll be trying you for treason once you step outside your door

And this is how I’ll leave you in the dark with the headlights off
Here and now, where the boulder meets the floor and the candles cough
And this is why I seldom make appearances on pedestals
