Awakening by The Vampire

While scheduled to perform in early February of 2024, the band would have to call off of the tour due to personal problems. But, this gave them time to create their first official studio album, Awakening. This album shows, not only a more mature sound of the band, but a improved one at that. A new look, a new feel, a new vibe. This album would include more 'nu-metal' influences, and they would spend longer in the studio writing, mixing, mastering these songs.

Starting the early writing process by Keyboardist, Sampler, and DJ, Charlie Hudson, and guitarist Josh Ele would write early versions of songs like 'This Maze', 'Speak The Truth', and 'Rainfall' - With the exception of zlpk writing the majority of 'Worlds Apart', and bringing it to the band.

Recording started February of 2024, and they would return to The Lounge Studios, where they had recorded previous demos. Owner, and mixer Tim Tillbury, and Co-Owner Edward Kewood, helped the band put album together. They would record 'This Maze', and 'Anarchy' (which was written fairly quickly by Fenrizz Tony, and brought to the band), as some first additions to this new record. These songs would be down-tuned to drop A, with the plan of making the rest of the album in this tuning, although they would end up scrapping the idea after writing demos in this tunings, considering all of the music released prior to Awakening was in drop C.

While the band are known for releasing a album every one, to two years, zlpk would say:

'We worked very hard on Awakening, so I don't think we want to rush making another product, that isn't better then Awakening, because that's what albums are for - improvement. I'd like to hope we start recording next year, and get it out either 2027, or 2028, depending on what else is happening.'
