Invaders! by The Unquiet Sky
This album is a tribute to 1950's sci-fi horror films. I have always loved the fun storylines, the typical tones used for aliens and space and I especially love alien storylines that take place in the desert. Growing up in Arizona my whole life and living out in the desert area, I see the night sky so well. I started writing this Twilight Zone idea about three small towns in the desert. Each very close in distance and one night, these saucers fly in and begin to destroy their small towns. They have a purpose and when the humans learn what that is, they are not understanding to the cause and attempt to fight back.
This EP was one of the best experiences I have had. Studying different composers of that time and trying to follow their ideas but with my own take. My favorite part was coming up with my own '50s tones.
I truly hope you enjoy this and it brings to mind great imagery.
