rehearsal tapes by The Tree and the Bell

'rehearsal tapes' presents an intimate portrait of improvised meetings during the Covid period, made as part of a Bandcamp subscription.

Featuring bass drones, harmonics, scratches and melodic trumpet, it documents the process of The Tree and the Bell as a duo, including improvisations from rehearsals, as well as occasional live recordings.

It is presented on cassette and digitally, with artwork and design by Norwich-based artist (and cartoonist) Morris English. Step inside our rehearsal room, for a brief glimpse into duo process..!
