Reflections EP by Ian & Nathan Marrey

This has been a project long in the making and the learning. A father and son collaboration of original music, this EP is the first part of a 2024 album release. Any money raised from your kind purchase will go towards paying for studio time and CDs. It's like a crowd funder, but without the crowd.

Maggie, some words written by Ian (the father) and music by Nathan (the son). A sad variation of a true story of a woman who wasn't called Maggie whose life was cut short by decisions in an out of her control.

Another Night, also known as The Covid Song. Some words written when I was alone with my son in Birmingham Children's Hospital in the midst of a lockdown. No café, no shop, no visitors and the only company a flashing red light in the ceiling. Who thought it was a good idea to put a flashing red light in the ceiling?

A Song for Rachel. A love song, I don't care what anyone says.

Icarus... I'm sure Nathan wrote this to make his mom cry. She usually does.

I doubt we will be touring these songs, or the album when it is completed. There is unlikely to be festival dates. There definitely won't be t-shirts - but signed photos we can do!

It was an ambition to go from zero to something in a home studio and to produce something that had a resemblance to a hint that I might know what I am doing. I don't, but I have enjoyed it all the same.
