Opposite Eyes by The Regulars

Holed up in his basement studio for a year and a half, Jeff Clarke, singer-songwriter for The Regulars, meticulously recorded and mixed the indie-rock album Opposite Eyes with the help of friends; some local, and some from other countries. The album is comprised of 7 songs that showcase a range of emotions and Jeff's penchant for pushing musical boundaries.

At the age of 15, Jeff was splattering ink on the walls of his room while feverishly tapping his pen to underground radio from Boston. A drum set came soon after, followed by a guitar, and years of playing in bands. This early exposure to music and his passion for exploration laid the foundation for the multi-instrumentalist he would become.

Opposite Eyes is a testament to Jeff's growth as a musician and his ability to convey a wide range of emotions through his music. Each song on the album delves into different aspects of Jeff's personal experiences and reflects his unique perspective on life. The collaboration with Jia Sun Lee of Secret Satellites and The Sun Lee Sunbeam on vocals adds an additional layer of depth to the album. The addition of Tim Perrotta on bass brings a dynamic and pulsating energy to songs like "Accentuate the Positive," "High Hopes," and "Burn this Bleeding Town." while Silvia Gil Larios's nuanced glockenspiel notes on "High Hopes" elevate the melodic aspects of the song.
