My Love by Pumpkin Friend

Two songs I wrote for my wife:

Recorded on April 12, 2023, "My Love" was written for our 15-year wedding anniversary. I based the melody on an old, forgotten recording of her singing a bit of a melody she'd heard in a dream. I captured what I could of it before it floated away. The recording was forgotten until spring 2022 when I happened upon it and decided to turn it into a song for her.

This recording of "An Autumn Kind of Love" is the second of two recordings I made of this song in 2011 (see track 16 of "The Marshmallow Tree" for the other "tunnel-reverb" one). It was written four years previously, in the fall/winter of 2007, as part of my proposal announcement to my family, singing it acapella, as it appears here, in front of them while home for the holidays. This was two days after the actual proposal which was private. Note: I am aware of the crackling in this recording. Though not intended, I've come to view it like much of my music, as just part of an imperfect artifact.
