Well, here you have it folks, The Pinecones’ new album, SAGE! (Wait…did you read that right? The Pinecones?) That surely is the question YOU (the album buyer) are asking yourself. Well this isn’t a printing error - Brent Randall and his Pinecones have gotten together to record a fully collaborative album simply as… The Pinecones!

This time around, all the lads – Brent, Brian, Joel and Paul - have tossed in their own songs to create an LP with a sound that is truly their own. Produced by Paul in his personal studio, “Mal à Mute,” the boys set out to escape the stuffy corporate studios and session musicians of their earlier work in search of a “groovier scene.” If the wild sounds on this record are any indication, a “groovy scene” is precisely what they found.

SAGE tells a story about flowers, girls, and flower-girls; strange pets and farm animal antics; the “ins” and “outs” of the English language; the desired traits of gentlemanly gentlemen and their potential career paths (and the inevitable ‘wanting to get-away-from-it-all’ that follows) and stories of lazy Sundays spent having tea with your auntie while watching your favourite tele’ program. SAGE is both gritty and sweet while both perplexing and infectious. SAGE is a fun and wild mind-bending trip of sonic experimentation
