Temples by The North Node

All the songs on this album were written between 2018-2020 after I moved from Ontario to Salt Spring Island, BC. I produced half of it in my bedroom, and the other half while living in a tent - and at every opportunity where I had an hour or two to sit at a cafe and plug in my laptop. It took about 9 months. So I guess it's like my baby. And it was great fun. It's my first album ever! I am very happy to share this with you.

In this album I sing happily about desire, and connection. Of mystical and mysterious forces. A sincere play for you to play along with in whatever way feels truthful for you. There are some unforgettable memories for me in the songs, and lots of love for the West Coast, (and the East).

There was the time I was driving my motorcycle back to Salt Spring from the interior and trying to write a song. I could barely hear my voice through the helmet and the wind and the engine, and yet, I managed to get all the lyrics and most of the melody down for the song 'Hello'. That one still makes me feel tender!

And there was the connection to spirit I was feeling, while hiking in Banff with my long time partner, Shadow (he's a dog). That moment, and the countless moments we have had of shared curiosity, simplicity, and devotion, led to the writing of the song 'Temples'.

A lot of love went into all the lyrics, melodies, and arrangements and I think you may enjoy some surprises ;)

I studied Theatre and Music in University, yet for work I always found my hands in the dirt growing food, or in construction trades.

Yogi, musician, and pilgrim, are my true vocations!
