Lone Oak was themed from a series of found 35mm cross-processed film negatives. They revealed the faded images of a tiny Oklahoma Baptist church "Lone Oak". Although the photographer is unknown and location unclear, it is thought to be somewhere near the prairie town of Pawhuska, OK.

His work is generally characterized by his production style of melding electronically manipulated field recordings with dusty attic 8mm films. In recent work, he has explored biosonification via his relationship with the flora and fauna on Wild Mountain where he lives in Osage County, Oklahoma.
