Mityfi by The John Sojourn
I made this track back in January of 2022 after a bout with COVID (when I thought I was going to die!).
It's a rare use of my own voice to say "Make it till you fake it" aka Mityfi. The turn of phrase highlights how I had gotten to the point of making a song each month because it was a great challenge; but then it became a great chore and I started to feel like I was "faking" enjoying the process.
Maybe that's why I waited 8 months to release it. Maybe it's because my birthday's right around the corner and I've always liked releasing new music then. Maybe it's also because I'm now missing the creative process and it took 8 months for that craving/desire to return.
Whatever the reason, here it is! Mityfi: My first attempt at the LoFi genre.
I think it turned out pretty well.
