Mesmerizing arps and sunken bits of drums & bass are making their way through textures of rainfall. Quiet, peaceful. Two trumpets join in, filling the stereo field with sonic grace, resembling a mindful conversation between old friends. In true DJ Krush & Toshinori Kondo fashion, FT Mute (whose career is skyrocketing since the ‘22 release on Block Opera), the intern (who is pulling strings for the label bts), and trumpet virtuoso The Pinch have created a wonderful symbiosis with “Reflections”.

And then, there were skate videos, with their beautifully curated scores. He was fascinated by how rhythm & melody informed the skaters' styles.
