Layered marks of yellow sparks in dark illuminate
Piled up high the piers of architecture sink
Present/future, future/past become delirious
The buttresses cannot support the walls I think

Oh - the towers disappear
In the chaos around here

Scaffolds form a screen around the naked skeleton
Quivering as the wind blows around and screams
Helicopter hair and rocket smoke obscure the sight
Can’t stay standing for another day it seems

Oh - who could understand
How things got so out of hand?

Then is now and now is then - it’s simultaneous
All time is one time in the eye of the sun
The clouded eye that gazes down on us from up above
A witness to destruction that has just begun
