Last weekend, I unplugged. No screens, no inbox, no infinite scroll — just silence, trees, breath, and the illusion of time.
It wasn’t planned. I was just tired of feeling wired to it all: notifications, dopamine loops, the way I’d plop down in front of my computer like it owed me money.
Living off-grid makes the contrast sharper. The internet isn’t a tool anymore — it’s a trap we built together. Day after day, I’d watch my wife Jennifer and I sinking into screens, beyond just the hours we needed for work. Our society has normalized unhealthful habits as if we couldn’t break free, even if we wanted to.
That’s where Digital Slavery came from. Trap metal energy: distortion, breaks, fever-dream lyrics. Not just a track — but a moment of clarity when I clawed back to reality.
