Talking Turkey by The Desert Turkeys

Recoded at Sandgate Sound Studio. engineered by Mole (Mathew Lamberton) : tracks 1,2,3,4,7,8,9,10 on the 15th March 2013. And at Julian Whitfield's Studio : tracks 5,6,11,12,13 around November 2013 and March 2014. The recordings are all performed live in one take. Tracks done with Mole are recorded on half inch analogue magnetic tape, Julian's recordings are digital.

The Desert Turkey's set comprises original songs/instrumentals; we are predominately a performing group.
The trio's intentions are to deliver music that is spirited and lyrical. Our playing is measured by a certain gritty, restrained melancholy - the music aims for a dynamic that is filmic and atmospheric.
