White coats like circus capes as the doctors take the stage
And the madman beneath he would attempt to assuage
The rage he has within and the images he sees
Will never leave as his body starts to seize
The noble doctor in regalia bound
And the electrodes snap with a dreadful sound
He stiffens as the current it flows
And the doctor reassures him with tired prose

The doctor pushed above his eyes with calculated clinical zeal
And he raised his soulless stare with his pick of hardened steel
And the patient on the table was in a nightmare all his own
As the rod entered in his brain after cracking through the bone
The doctor saw a little twitch as the man began to bleed
And lay still on the slab his demons finally freed
And like an actor took a bow and the curtain was drawn
And a shell trapped in his prison, his humanity gone

It’s a madhouse
It’s a sin
It’s the place where the devil’s dressed in white
It’s the place we’re living in
You can call it Bedlam
And God help you if you come
Cause at the end of the day
When the light goes away
Even the strongest will succumb
