Doug and Cal started out doing electronica and weird stuff and we both played in Alien Virus at the time. We did an Alien Virus gig at East Brisbane Bowls Club with the great Japanese band Orochi, Seaplane and Sally’s band Black Athena in 2005.

Sally worked with Doug. Black Athena broke up and that’s how Sally started playing in Star Sludge.

Troy had been playing bass with Alien Virus so he joined a bit later, Troy was in Pollen in the mid 90’s..

Most gigs were in Brisbane between 2005 and 2010, we did play with X from Melbourne down the Gold Coast and had one fun gig up in Toowoomba.

Cal does solo gigs these days and occasionally duo sets with Heli from the 90’s band Gravelrash.

All the recorded tunes were done by Murray from The Foundry in 2008, except for 'Mostly' done by Doug at his home, there is no bass on that recording.
They were mixed by Phill from Blowhard.

Cal wrote all the songs except 'Slide' which is a cover of Superette, a New Zealand band from around 1995.

'Escape from Toytown' was originally done by Escape from Toytown around 1995.

'Acid Blue' was done by Alien Virus around 1989.
