Dave LaFosse, aka “The 5th Instar,” played guitar in several rock and metal bands before catching the bug for production. His compositions are inspired by a mix of electronic and metal genres as well as classic sci-fi movies and video games. His latest release, Gradients, blends elements of synthwave and EDM with contemporary metal for a high-energy hybrid with retrofuturistic flavors.
