as it comes, over the horizon
sunrise or set well your eyes won't know
till you're shown the picture-book ending

Yesterday came one day late
but time won't stop, and the world don't care
in between my time of sleep
was it a dream, or a shared nightmare?

I had a dream that the world was red
and the sky was dead, like the air over Norway
Like Krakatoa blew its head
and from it bled salvation for millions

Roll out the red carpet for the Soma-dream
a society that denies we have questions
And in its wake lies the broken seam
that lies between the atomic nightmare
