Nerr Khlydwischedt by Sevastopol Is Covered in Sewage

Sevastopol is Covered in Sewage is an experimental/noise duo comprised of members from Murex and Chin Xaou Ti Won. Though technically no longer active, Tej és Keksz is working to catalog and release selected works from their vault of recordings. Nerr Khlydwischedt is the second of such releases.

Nerr Khlydwischedt, constructed in mid-late 2002 using various source materials recorded between 2000-2002, was shelved during the post production process. The death of NK essentially sealed Sevastopol's fate as a working project. However, thanks to Tej és Keksz, the finishing touches have been applied to the album, and at long last has been released.

Unlike Fjeod Opek, whose tracks were cut down from longer improvisations, yet still left in tact otherwise, NK makes heavy use of layering and post production to help create new pieces carved from the original sources. While still knee deep in noise, NK seeks to tell a story using droning ambient passages and savage deconstructions of acoustics, poetry, and general camaraderie. Over the length of NK, Sevastopol details topics concerning promiscuity, suicide, religious intolerance, and a lengthy essay on living a Victorian lifestyle.
