walking is such an important part of my life. i once heard a very knowledgeable woman talk about walking meditation. i was so happy to hear someone who seemed 'spiritual' give credibility to my walks. to quote from a song by my friend sue, "you know i never learned to meditate..." at least not in the way i understood it, as in emptying the mind. i heard another wise old woman say that if you can empty the mind for twelve seconds, you can reach enlightenment. i think about two seconds is the best i've ever been able to do.
