YOU EP by yasumiyasumi

in conjunction with the rerelease of groovy nihon summer we wanted to bring forth the YOU EP, originally released a year later in 2013 -just after Tokyo Digital Love had dropped on Zoom Lens. seemingly less focused than the aforementioned projects but much more experimental, YOU seems to be reaching out towards moods and feelings more-so than songs or melodies, using these as a palette to paint its unusual sounds and presentation. many of these tracks have reappeared in similar or different-sounding forms on later projects by the artist, painted under different lights showing the dedication and versatility of yasumiyasumi's approach. TAKENINAKE is, of course, extremely happy to be able to share this lenghty EP on cassette format, and fully present two sides of yasumiyasumi’s work with new and exclusive design and artwork.
