The second part of emla more's duology of tapes on TAKENINAKE is there to take us again on an internet pop journey via two mixes, each made in the summers of '22 and '23. As another mid-year wraps up, "what took you so long? mois d'août pour long songs" and "dejavux quasimix" both offer longing explorations of the melancholic side of hyperpop of the early '20s. Compared to the previous tape's club-centric vibes and its b side's hyperfixation on Aphex Twin, "emlavoo" lends a more concise tracklist, still as fun to experience in glorious tape format.
