浜町造園計画/Hamacho Zouenkeikaku by 帯化

民謡とバンドという異質な形態を素面で交雑させる二人組ロックバンド、帯化の新音源、『浜町造園計画』。

武蔵野美術大学主催の「日本橋浜町ライフスタイルプロジェクト」の一環で制作された音源集である本作は、グローバル化とローカリティ、住民と観光客という、二つの軸がぶつかり合い、交差し、共存する多様な力場である日本橋浜町をドキュメントしつつ、かつて浜町を流れていた人工の川である浜町川を起点にして、浜町の過去、現在、そして未来を繋ぎ、再構築する。

どこか冷たいナレーションの声と、観光客たちが行き交う雑踏の騒がしさを思わせるパーカッションとアコースティックギターの即興演奏が絡み合う、A1.『浜町の固有性のために』。そして浜町で録音された環境音とカサついたギターと、リズムを刻む代わりにメロディックに響くパーカッション類が、浜町川の歴史をなぞる歌声を伴奏する、A2.『遺る川』。二つの対比的な楽曲がそれぞれの角度から浜町の景色を切り取っていく。

フィジカル版は本音源が収録された8cmCDに合わせて、浜町で採取した土、木の実、花などが封印され、表面にDLコードが張り付けられた小瓶、本プロジェクトの概要書、歌詞カードが付属。

This album, part of the Nihonbashi-Hamacho Lifestyle Project by Musashino Art University, encapsulates the essence of Nihonbashi-Hamacho, a city where globalization meets locality, and residents coexist with tourists. It unfolds a picture scroll of a "city" molded by the global economy's capital flow, reclaimed marginal rivers, and the "imprints" left by tourists. Centered around the Hamacho River, a man-made waterway that once traversed the area, the album weaves together and reimagines Hamacho's past, present, and future.
In 'For the Uniqueness of Hamacho,' a somewhat detached narrator's voice intertwines with percussion and acoustic guitar improvisations, capturing the bustling noise of tourist traffic. In 'Remaining River,' environmental sounds recorded in Hamacho, along with gritty guitars and melodically resonant percussion, accompany a voice that traces the history of the Hamacho River.
The physical release includes an 8cm CD featuring this soundscape, a vial sealed with soil, nuts, and flowers collected in Hamacho, a DL code on the surface, a concise project description, and a lyric card.
