Goblin smirking.

Aim to stay in control,
Whispers evil,
Surviving is the goal,
Mental upheaval.

Focus on daily chores,
You are useless,
Constant struggle, life deplores,
You are worthless.

Overwhelmed and exhausted,
Why keep going?
World view distorted,
Self-hatred growing.

Fill lungs with calming air,
Goblin slumbers,
Dedicate time for self-care,
Dreaming of new encumbers.

Make the most of respite,
Creature stirs,
Before returning to the fight,
Berating recurs.

Slogging through the mire,
You pathetic shell,
Outlook seems bleakly dire,
You should bid life farewell.

Losing will to exist,
End it all,
Feelings can't be dismissed,
No happy memories to recall.

Removing all distractions,
Isolate,
Limits reactions,
Contemplate.

Solitude causes loneliness,
You can't be trusted,
Numb, cold, heartsickness,
Maladjusted.

Hard to concentrate,
Failure at everything,
Sane side sedate,
Why to painful existence cling?

All consuming distress,
Future full of uncertainty,
Continue on nonetheless,
Misery for eternity.
