Now Denial was an undefineable progressive Rockband from Lower Saxony, Germany (1995-1999)

Inspired by Grunge, Alternative and Progressive Rock these five long-haired friends started the band NOW DENIAL to impress the girls and get rich and famous – and for the love of music, of course. They practiced in the parental living-room of band-brothers Tim & Tom (names are real, no joke!). Lacking skills in Songwriting they tried to make songs out every riff and every melody they came up with. Exploring the Art of Jamming rather than searching traditional stuctures, the results were unconventional and courageous Song-Patchworks with weird sounds and surprises. After only 4 gigs the band won a regional band-contest and had the chance to record a song with a guy named “Schrödej” – guitar-player of the German Thrash-Metal-Band “Temple of the Absurd”. After only 4 years of touring and three self-produced long-playing recordings the band paused forever – members pursuing private developments.
Nevertheless former members occasionally came together to work in projects, such as the pop-rock band “milk with tabasco”. This project recorded songs under supervision of Thorsten Schilling, a Swiss-based sound –technician for stars like Madonna, Simply Red and frequency-manager in Wacken. The songs from this era were partly recorded in Berlin. In 2015, for their 20-year-anniversary, the band now denial reunited for just one gig in Northern Germany at the legendary “Grill’n Garage Festival” in Kampe, Germany.
