sleepless EP by Synthetic Children
this EP is sonically, an exploration of distorted bass and breaks, juke inspired patterns, and horror soundtrack ambience. but more so, these sounds have formed a toolkit for an expression of overwhelming, intense paralysis which takes many forms.
this EP is dedicated to my friend, Rowan, who I never got to thank for his influence on my musical journey, and his vocal love and support for synthetic children. tinylabel will be putting out a CD compilation featuring the first track of this EP, and there will be a release day party for this on the 24/07/21. Koha entry, with all proceeds to a mental health initiative. all proceeds of this EP, will also go to this cause.
included as a 'bonus track' to this EP, for anyone who donates to the cause, is my memorial track 'for rowan', which is a small project file from something rowan and I worked on early this year. we were planning on making some collaborative remixes of rowan's EP 'rushed calm'. this track is all we have to show for that. you can listen to rowan's EP here - https://goodsmellmn.bandcamp.com/album/rushed-calm
