Synteny presents a new album by Unseq just in time for halloween. And it's pretty thematic as well, because this album is pretty gloomy and out there.

Unseq is a supergroup compared to the likes of Gescom, which is run by Noxw. Most of the time, the collective does collaborations with the host, or the host gets involved in the whole process. This time it's different.

5 conspirators in total were involved in CompositionVIII. The members of said group did practically 90% of the production, meaning they were the handcrafters of the album themselves, resulting in a spontaneous process.

The album is split into 4 individual sections with 2 tracks each and they are meant to be listened to in a vacuum. Each and every one of them have a theme that result in a combined, alchemistic piece.

The recording date can range between 2016* and Q2 2024. The whole album is an oddball in Unseq's discography as its profoundly different in sound and process.
