The Black Country is a incredible place. Full of story, hard work, resilience and generosity amongst so many other incredible characeristics. It is a place with a rich history and a vibrant future. This album, however, focuses mainly on the present. The now of the Black Country and its creative wonder, although there are a couple of exceptions along this musical journey that nod to the past of this, often over-looked, region where I have lived for the last 25 years. Black lights are often those that we do not see… but they are there. Shining in the dark.
