Ears On Earth & Super Utu present Household Choirs: A selection of housebound voices singing together in harmony. From forth the abodes of 11 independent nations come 22 songs spread across two CDs inside a limited edition double jewel case designed by EOE’s Dani.
The recent disruption of daily life has caused us to reflect and consider what we believe to be meaningful, important and what brings joy to our existence. For the dance community who have had their places of worship shut down indefinitely, a unifying space we can all occupy is a freedom of the mind. In physical confinement, freedom becomes a state of mind; A place to visit when we can’t move our bodies the way we want to. These two CDs symbolise inside and outside dance spaces made inaccessible to us by the pandemic.
So we gathered a choir of households to share their voices.

Ears On Earth & Super Utu first bonded in Madrid in 2019 at Sala Sirocco over an appreciation for the slower side of dance music. Later, an evening spent cooking carbonara and listening to Bacalao classics via YouTube cemented the friendship and sewed the seeds for future produce to reap. This compilation is just the first in what’s to come from the two labels.
