In the summer high,
There beneath the clearest blue sky,
Oh, she's growing,
Rising up,
Creamy coloured blossoms pop,
Calling me, whispering, now's the time all year we've waited..

Meadowsweet,
Oh holy made me,
Your so sweet, pretty and hazy,
Growing in the sun,
Oh your never shady,
Standing straight, on one leg of ebony.

I walk along the hedgerows, green.
Bunnies hopping, butterflies and bees.
See the children playing through the trees.
Oh dance the meadows,
Come in your bare feet.
Oh, the summer light!
Will make our vision bright!
Oh when she appears,
We know it's time, for this life,
Oh sweet light, oh sweet life...

Meadowsweet, I know you'll change me,
A softening, you'll clear all the aching.
