Deer Dance by Sun and Moon Dance
The dance tune is performed on the Kontrabasharpa and deer antlers are used as percussion. I dedicate the song and dance to the stag spirit. This is the first song where I recorded the sounds of the dance with the bells and antlers.
We're seed and tree with roots deep into earth and branches stretching to the heavens. We are the voice of creation…from the smallest of creatures to the mightiest of beasts. We are songs of dancing fire, whirling wind, flowing water and the standing stone. We are pain and sorrow woven into hope and beauty. We are forest and meadow… the mountain and river. We are what was and what is becoming.
